I made this in pink and green bc those are two of her fave colors and the colors of her shop down in Louisiana. I wanted to make teacups but ran out of time and the spout and handle are kind of a mess. ooops!

Birthday cake for my husband's 33rd.

the party animal cake. almond pound cake with raspberry buttercream and topped with marshmallow fondant.

his body was a little bumpy from the raspberry seeds in the the buttercream frosting. also, any bakers out there have advice on how to clean up the powdered sugar without wetting the fondant? I'd like to get rid of the shiny appearance.

"starter" business cards are coming!

all of my friends and clients tell me i need biz cards. well, i got some "starter" ones. they are from Sweet Sticker Expressions on Etsy and they are on their way and you can see them now, just look at the top of this page. i cannot wait to receive them. these will be just fine until i can think of a a proper name and logo. what do you think of the "starter" cards?

price list -- working on that!

everybody's askin how much i charge -- exciting! i am in the process of getting a price list together. it should be posted very shortly.

upcoming cake orders

i have a basketball cake for a 4 year old and basketball cupcakes for Dec. 13th.
then another baptism cake, this time in the shape of a christening gown.

Baptism Cake and Assorted Mini Cupcakes

baptism cake and mini cupcakes for a baby girl. this was so much fun. love doing girly cakes. cake was one layer choco and the bottom layer vanilla. covered in all fondant.

Musical Note Cake

this was my second cake request. i did an all buttercream cake. however, the finish was not smooth. since then, i have learned how to smooth out the buttercream to make it very pretty. i really worked hard on this cake to make it as moist as ever. the musical notes were made out of colored marshmallow fondant. homemade recipe.
